There are 4 most popular technologies for building frame houses:

1. Construction of SIP panels.

The essence of the technology: the heat insulator of the panel is a sheet of expanded polystyrene on both sides covered with OSB plates. This technology has two indisputable advantages: the speed of production and installation of panels and very significant drawbacks – environmental friendliness and pairevoopasnost, tk. Sheets OSB are leksgoplamenyemyh, and polystyrene foam during combustion emits toxic substances.

2. Traditional technology (often called Finnish, American or Canadian) construction of a frame on the site.

When using this technology as a thermal insulator, non-combustible mineral wool or ecowool is used, which significantly affects the improvement of fire performance. The pros can include a lower price, to minuses a long construction period, downtime in bad weather conditions, the absence of dry places of storage of materials.

3. Modular technology.

This is the most expensive way of production for the customer, but sometimes the most preferable, if there is a need to minimize the time of work on the site, the houses are delivered to the customer site in the form of ready-made modules with internal and external finishing and even partially furnished and collected in 1-3 days. As a minus, we can note the limitation of the variety of layouts due to the attachment to the module’s dimensions, the more expensive delivery and the availability of construction restrictions (impossible in hard-to-reach places).

4. Frame-panel technology.

The most common in Europe, because it combines the speed of building a house by modular technology and the relative low price is comparable to traditional technology. The essence of this technology is that the house is assembled from panels made in the production hall and then the house is assembled on the client’s site within 5-7 days. Presence of dry storage of building materials and production of panels in the factory allows to achieve the greatest quality of the future house, and using almost any materials in the “pie” of the panel allows building houses with high energy efficiency and a high degree of fire resistance.
